The project is an opportunity for Sicilian students to explore their own past to understand their cultural identity as well as to compare it wit the Greek one. The twinning with Greek students will imply to present Sicily and to know Makedonia through the images and the words of teenagers. Friendship among students will also enhance European identity.
Objectives: to help students realize how Europeans share common roots; to understand the influence of Greek in Sicily; to create a common product at least; to present the local area, to use English as vehicolar language, to strenghten friendship among young people as future European citizens.
September the project starts( the coordinators agree about plan, products, exchange) October: Video: each partner presents his own school through a video or a slideshow, Students starts the e-mail exchange introducing themselves November/December the students send a CD about their own local area January students compare the products February: the students cooperate to create a common product( a song, a dossier, a photo album,a glossary, a presentation, a calendar) March /April publication of the product, exhibition( if it is to have an exchange) Exchange if the partners find funds
